He is also a Mentor for start-up entrepreneurs as part of the National Entrepreneurs Network (NEN) out of Bangalore. He is currently mentoring 3 company promoters in the IT/ITES space. He also co-invests and helps start-up technology companies.


He is associated with Education and academics and has also been part of the Interview panel for students seeking MBA admissions post CAT with various Institutes. He has been mentoring and guiding students and doing career counseling in his spare time. It is formed with a view to support and encourages early stage entrepreneurs and with a clear focus on sustainable and scalable business models. He is building an ecosystem which provides business acceleration and mentoring along with network and relationships to investee companies to help them expand and scale up. His involvement with investee companies gives them an impetus and encouragement as the fund follows the philosophy of “Make it Happen” for the Entrepreneurs.


CEO & Group Director (Strategy & Finance) at Real Estate and Hospitality Business

November 2010 – April 2012 (1 year 6 months)


He was responsible for Business Strategy, Finance and Project management during a very challenging period. During this period saw the completion of the 5 start hotel project and started operations, ensured all projects were getting executed, raised finances to repay debt, managed investor relations. He was heading the business strategy, M&A & finance function. The chain operated multiple 5 start hotels with an inventory of close to 1500 rooms in India. A new property “Grand Hyatt Goa” was commissioned during his tenure. He also raised fund and navigated the business in a very challenging environment.


Chief Financial Officer at Future Capital Holdings Ltd

May 2006 – November 2010 (4 years 7 months)


The then capital arm of Future Group (Now Capital First) having interests in investment advisory services which had close to $ 1 billion of assets under Advisory. The NBFC had three business verticals comprising of alternate asset management, retail financial services and whole sale & corporate lending. He successfully completed the IPO for the company raising Rs.500 crores with 10 % dilution in about 21 months from the setting up of the company. He was a board member in various subsidiaries managing different verticals, subsidiaries and joint ventures. He was instrumental in getting the company ratings and raise large fund to increase the loan book.


Chief Financial Officer at Britannia Industries Limited

April 2004 – May 2006 (2 years 2 months)


A $ 500 Mn food processing company. He was also responsible for Business Strategy, M & A, Treasury, Planning, Legal & Secretarial, Commercial, Information Technology, operations besides heading the finance function for the company. He successfully managed and completed Buy Back of shares for the company. He successfully implemented a supply chain optimization process which led to annual savings of INR 50-80 crore. He was instrumental in restructuring the supply chain and distribution network which was part of the supply chain optimization process.


Director ( Operations Finance) & Chief Financial Officer at The Coca-Cola Company India Bottling

1997 – 2003 (6 years)


He was key in consolidating bottling plants across India under one single entity leading to synergies and cost optimization. He was instrumental in structuring equity divestment to comply with FIPB norms along with maintaining management control. He was extensively involved in setting up of the distribution channels and dealing with channel partners. He also played a key role in optimizing the existing distribution channels. He successfully lobbied various state governments and obtained substantial benefits in the form of tax incentives on various Greenfield projects. He led the divestment initiative across the company owned bottling business as well managed large treasury both inbound as well outbound. He set up a very effective supply chain financial model and raised adequate fund in efficient manner.

He ran the Mumbai Marathon for the years Jan 2012, 2013 AND 2014, 2019 and collected monies on behalf of the NGO towards contributions for “Girl Child Education” a cause dear to his heart.
